2009 Lodge Annual Meeting Results

On December 3, 2009, the Annual Meeting of Sequin Level Lodge No. 140 was held with over 50 brothers in attendance for dinner as well as nearly 40 brothers that remained for the meeting at 7:30PM. The meeting was also attended by the District Deputy of the Grand Lodge of Connecticut A.F. & A.M. for District 5A, Ben Isaacson.

As is the custom for Sequin Level Lodge, an excellent dinner was prepared by our Kitchen Crew and was enjoyed by all.

Several of the required Committee Reports were presented, including the:

• Trustee Report
• Junior Warden Report
• Financial Secretary Report
• SBA Status Report
• Craftsmen Club Report
  

The election of the 2010 Officers also took place with the following results:

• Worshipful Master Elect: Brother Bruce P. Morin
• Senior Warden Elect: Brother Steven Gorman
• Junior Warden Elect: Brother Chuck 2.0
• Treasurer Elect: Brother Kent Stoddard
• Financial Secretary Elect: Worshipful Brother James Bailey
• Secretary Elect: Brother Scott Dean

The Appointments for the 2010 year were announced and are as follows:

• Chaplain: Worshipful Brother Ken Wartschow
• Senior Deacon: Gabriele Valente III
• Junior Deacon: Brother Bob Wartschow
• Senior Steward: Brother Richard Lasker
• Marshal: Brother William Van Cleave
• Tiler: Brother Ken Bailey

The Worshipful Master Elect presented his 1st Quarter Trestleboard to the lodge and explained that the calender for the 2010 year is now online for those interested in finding out what is planned thus far.

The installation of the 2010 Officers will take place on December 12, 2009 at Sequin Level Lodge No. 140 and the ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00PM. Followed immediately thereafter by the annual lodge Holiday Party!

One of the final points of business was the announcement of a Special Assessment for the 2010 year of $25.00 per brother to help offset the raising costs of Lodge Operations. This was viewed as a better option than to raise dues permanently and give the lodge the time it needs to assess how the current economic conditions will impact our investments in the long term.
